The building inspector

My father was a construction worker. One day in the early 60s, while he was working at the high-rise dormitories at UMass-Amherst, a building inspector was on the site.
In the afternoon, the inspector came up to my father and said, "I've been watching you all day."
"That's funny. I've been watching you, too."
