WHDH News - too happy to report the latest news

We usually watch the 10PM news on Fox 25 because a) it's good to yell at the TV before going to sleep, b) we're not going to stay up for the 11:00 news and c) it's the better of the two Boston offerings. Charter offers a 10PM news show in conjunction with NECN. We don't yell at them as much.
Last night, there was a football game on channel 25, so we watched the WHDH news instead. Yikes.
One quick example. They ran a feel-good feature about the guy in Rhode Island who offered up his Starbucks card.
The anchors offered a smarmy, Yankee-Candle-scented commentary about paying it forward. They didn't report, however, that they hadn't bothered to report that the service was being shut down by Starbuck's as of 7PM PDT yesterday (10PM Boston time).
