The story tells us a few things:
- The City has implemented a goose eradication program since geese brought down U.S. Airways Flight 1549 a couple of years ago.
- People complained about dumping gassed geese into the city's landfill.
- The City has decided to catch the geese and send them to Pennsylvania where they'll be become food for the Keystone State's needy.

Does this mean that New York City is now in the business of goose farming or are they smashing nests and eggs too so that there is no possibility of geese making more babies and thereby creating another goose problem!?
