We are better than this

You know, I'd expect this kind of comment from some guido on Jersey Shore, not from one of the premier religious leaders in the country, son of a man who has counseled presidents through their darkest times, including President Obama. (Obama and Evangelist Billy Graham Share a Prayer. Franklin also attended the prayer session.)
"Now it's obvious that the president has renounced the prophet Mohammed, and he has renounced Islam, and he has accepted Jesus Christ. That's what he says he has done. I cannot say that he hasn't. So I just have to believe that the president is what he has said."

He may be a Christian. He may not be. I don't know for sure. I'm just sayin'.
"I think the president's problem is that he was born a Muslim, his father was a Muslim," said Graham.
No, the president's problem is preachers who betray him.
Rev. Graham, please comment on the important stuff in the world. Please raise up the issues of floods, hunger, disease, poverty, despair, hopelessness, and pain. Please ask the Christians of the country to think about something other than this black hole of narrow-minded bigotry that is sucking the energy from us all. Please lead us toward peace, not divisive. Please lead us to wisdom, not innuendo. Please do the right thing. You're better than this. You know it. We know it.
Please don't make Christians be ashamed to call themselves Christians.
