On Ted Kennedy

He represented us as he was and as we are. Great ideals and compassion with threads of familial and personal tragedy tangled up with petty, base, and self-serving instincts. With big talents and a life of privilege, he gave us full measure of what we dream what we would do if we were born to a similar station and what we fear we might become.
Few of us will rise to those heights or fall to those depths. He did that for us, in our name, and we can do with that what we will.

An insightful and well-written epitaph for Teddy ... and our relationship with him.
