The storm came up with a lot of kaboom and flash, knocking out power for a moment, and then pummeled us with hail.
We don't get a lot of hail here, particularly enough to cover the table on the back deck.

Impressive. We just had huge amounts of rain accompanied by an awe-inspiring sound-and-light show. One cat -- the frightened one -- loves watching it. You can almost hear her say "oooh. Again." The other -- the laid-back, unafraid one -- shrinks to about half his height and creeps under a chair, which he's stocked with favorite toys for extra comfort. I'm just glad we were all indoors when it struck.
