Seeds of suburbia

About four months ago, I wrote (Worcestershire Journal - Sidewalk anthropologist) about finding packets of morning glory seeds on the sidewalk in Holden. It seems that our suburban burg was ahead of the curve. Now, Dracut, a town near Lowell, is experiencing the same problem - Teens look for 'high' in flower seeds.
The Progressive Fitchburg blog does a good take-down of the story and the fear surrounding this. See Beware of Scary Flowers!. Almo's Flower and Garden Center has restricted the sale of morning glory seeds to people 18 and over.
"Hey, kid. Where'd you get the seeds?"
"Some soldier. I got them for my mother for Mother's Day."
"Mother's Day was a month ago, kid."
"Uh, Father's Day. That's it. Father's Day."
"Your father wants flowers for Father's Day."
"He doesn't want them, but that's what he's getting."
"Get out of here, kid. And leave the seeds. They ain't for kids, kid."
